The TeCIP Institute of the Sant'Anna School, represented by Giampiero Contestabile, professor of Telecommunications, Lorenzo De Marinis, researcher, and Nicola Andriolli, CNR researcher and TeCIP Institute affiliate, on a visit to India to carry out activities as part of the INPATIENT (Integrated Photonic Artificial Neural Networks) project, funded by the Ministry of External Affairs and International Cooperation, involving the Sant'Anna School, CNR-IEIIT and the Indian Institute of Technology in Patna.

The visit to the Indian host institution included participation in the workshop "Photonics for Communication, Sensing and Processing", to discuss the development of new photonic integrated circuits, which will significantly improve speed and reduce power consumption, and to present current advances in related areas.

The meeting between the Indian and Italian Parties culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for scientific and technological cooperation between IIT Patna and the TeCIP Institute of the Sant'Anna School. The agreement lays the groundwork for future collaborations between the participating institutions and involves delegates T N Singh, Director of IIT Patna, and Giampiero Contestabile, for Sant'Anna School.
